Novel artwork, THORES's Christmas 2010 sketches This doesn't fit the game at all, it's far too simple. I thought about adding some detail myself, but in the end I was just too bored of the game and wanted to get done with it as soon as possible. The necklacke doesn't layer properly either... At least I got one hairstyle more from this pic. |

Manga ch 50 cover Unfortunately the manga artist copied the novel design almost perfectly. I wish he had given her different clothes, I would have liked to draw more clothes for Mary. But! There really is a significant difference in their shirt! There really is! The manga chapter 50 showed her pants and shoes a bit better, but I didn't see it necessary to include them in the reference picture. Same outfit from novel (ROM V) The novel version in the game |

Novel artwork Too... much... detail...! Hnngh! My version looks a bit too crowded. This took quite a lot of time to draw, and I had some trouble layering it properly. Also I didn't quite understand what the black ribbon thing was, but after checking all the possible novel pictures of the outfit I decided that it was an ascot. |

Manga ch 51 cover I probably prefer the manga version of the uniform over the novel version. This one had a more clear ribbon too. The belt should be lower, but I ended up giving the doll a bit too short upper body, so I'll have to stick with this. |

Anime episode 20 I'm not actually sure if this outfit appeared in episode 20 because I haven't seen the anime. But it was the first episode of the Queen Esther arc, so I presume she was there. The super detailed designs of the novels really suffer in the anime... |

Manga ch 51 cover A perfect chance to give her a detailed queen dress, and what happens? We only see her back! Not a single line of red so I could try to design something myself and claim "yes, it is this dress! You can see a red cloth in the reference!". I really hate Isaak for stuffing the teapot in the way... |

Manga artwork from the end of vol 13 Not happy with this dress. I'm sorry, but I really didn't understand the reference (again). Plus the colours are off as usual. Pink pearls, what was I thinking? But I tried to keep the colourscheme warm and white made it look cold... The hair didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped either, but surpisingly ok considering I drew it straight in Flash (without a hand drawn sketch). I was very glad that I could use the thigts from another outfit, they were a nightmare to draw and I really didn't want to make new ones just because of a tiny difference. They needed some re-coding to work with the transparent part of the dress though. The feathery boa would also need some layering improvement, now it covers the roses. Even if I'm not too pleased with the outcome and it was a lot of work (that pattern on the hem took a lot of time) I was very happy that I got a new dress to add. |

Manga ch 48 Surprisingly, I'm fairly happy with how the hairstyle turned out. Jane's face not so much... I left out some of her... skin decorations, because I would've had serious trouble layering them, and I didn't understand what they were supposed to be either anyway. She had a different bracelet in the Queen Esther arc preview, it's included in the game as well. |

Manga ch 50 cover Again a surprisingly nice hairstyle. It even covers her bad face quite nicely... This was probably one of the most time-consuming outfits to draw. I knew the dress would take time, but I wasn't expecting the thights to require that much work. In the end the hem of the dress doesn't work at all, but I didn't let it bother me too much. Overall I really like how this turned out, even if the boa layers a bit off with the flower. |

Novel artwork, ROM V Ugggh no. Too much obscure detail, no coloured reference, weird pose and arms and Mary blocking the view, failure to understand what the heck the thing on her shoulder is... Leads to an outcome which is far from desired. Also, why did I not use some other colour for her jewelry? Now it looks like she's using scrap metal. I would not be able to connect this dress with the one in the reference if I were not the one who drew it in the first place. |

Novel artwork Since it's an uniform it will look exactly the same as Mary's right? Lol no. There were plenty of differences in the Collar, front of the coat, sleeves, belt, undershirt, pants and ascot... |
