These are the outfits you have to make the character wear in order to unlock their "event". It doesn't matter which hairstyle you use for them. Text in green LIKE THIS is about the events. I thought it'd be better to hide it in case someone wants to find out the event themselves. If you unlock every event you get a little special prize: You unlock five secret characters (genderswapped Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji and Franky). Initially there was going to be no prize (seriously, who'd spend enough time to dress all the 40+ characters in the correct outfit? Aside from me of course), but then I thought that if someone actually does that they deserve a little prize for their effort, even if it's not very much. (To be fair, I coded myself a hax button to unlock the prizes so I don't need to go through all the trouble of selecting the right outfit over and over again...) |
Nami
Originally she had a tangerine in her event, but I ended up giving it to Nojiko instead since I couldn't think of anything else to give her. Money was another alternative for Nami. |
Robin
At first I planned drawing multiple hands in her event to demonstrate the flower-flower fruit, but then I realised I hate drawing hands so I picked an easier option instead. |
Vivi
She's one of the three characters who get the prize from outfit that is not the one they worn at first appearance (the others are Kaya and Tashigi). I just like this one more, and I rationalised it so that the first one was when she was undercover as Miss Wednesday, while this is the first she wears under her own name. |
Hancock
I kind of like how the snake turned out, even if it layers a bit weird. Though it was pretty much copied from the reference... |
Perona
The ghosts for her event were supposed to be animated a lot better, but since you don't know how smooth the animation in my vision was this is ok... right? |
Caimey
The little floating mermaids is one of my favourite events. |
Shirahoshi
Note the seashell earrings... you can't see properly in either picture. Whoops! Her event belongs to one of my favourites as well. I hear it can cause the game to lag though. |
Nojiko
|
Bonney
|
Margaret
Please ignore the similarities in the pose. I kinda tried to make it different, but I needed her right hand to be that way so she could hold the clima-tact... Her event is rather nice too. It layers a bit weirdly since I hadn't thought of putting the events in different layers yet, but it's not like it matters since it only appears with this particular outfit. |
Kaya
Kaya is one of the three characters to get the event from some other outfit than the one they wore at their introduction. For her it was kind of obligatory, since for reasons even I don't quite know myself the event code goes insane if only one item is required to get the prize. And since her first outfit was just a nightgown(?) and it was too difficult to track down pictures where she wore an overcoat with it, while this one had a perfectly fine reference it was easy to choose. Kaya is also one of the three characters to get a skin colour chance (the others are Cindry and Shyarly); I thought she'd need a paler skin to go with her "ill girl" thing. |
Conis
|
Kuina
|
Tashigi
Tashigi is one of the three characters to get the prize from something else than her introduction outfit. This time the correct shirt isn't even in the game... But it was easier to find reference of this shirt. |
Hina
Originally I wanted her event to have something to do with her devil fruit powers, but I couldn't figure out how to draw it so she got the same boring cigarette as Shakky. |
Shyarly
She was going to have the crystal ball as her event, but the pipe was easier to draw. |
Aphelandra
|
Chimney
The anime version had slightly different colours, but I decided to go for the manga one because it's the original and it had a good reference. |
Belle-Mere
Her event is one of my favourites, even if Nojiko's face is a bit odd. Nami turned out pretty cute though. |
Otohime
Otohime was a problem, since the event code needs more than one item to work. At first I thought I was in serious trouble since she didn't even have any other outfits I could have used instead, but then I realised I could make the ribbon into its own item to escape the problem. The dress is the only one that affects the mermaids' tails. If I had done this properly the other dresses would do the same, but it would've been more work. |
Olvia
Hooooo I didn't add the hat!? Well, she didn't wear it anywhere else so maybe it's not that much of a problem. Her shoes are from a figure since I couldn't find any other reference on them. Her event could be one of my favourites, but it's not since the little Robin didn't turn out that cute. |
Rouge
Something is wrong with her eyes... The OP wikia says she wears sandals, but I couldn't find reference on any so sandals aren't required to unlock the event either. The baby in her event is blatantly copied from the picture where Makino is holding a baby. |
Makino
|
Shakky
It was tough trying to find a proper reference for her shoes... |
Cindry
I have no idea where I got the shoes, now I can't find any reference on them any more. |
Koala
|
Whitey Bay
She looks really stupid with no shoes, but I don't think there is any official pictures on them, and I didn't want to make it so that my own creation would be required to unlock the event. I had no idea what to do with her event. In the end I had to settle with drawing a random ship to act as her ice breaker. |
Laki
I considered the gun for the event as well, but the skate things were easier to draw. |
Aisa
While Chimney uses the manga colouring, I gave Aisa the anime version because I think it looks a lot better. |
Kiwi
I still can't remember which is which of the Square Sisters... Note the tiny earrings. They have the same event since I couldn't think of anything better than the generic sword for even one of them. |
Mozu
Note the tiny earrings. |
Alvida
Whoops, it appears I forgot the bracelets! I considered her giant club for her event, but since many of the characters just get a weapon I ended up with Mini-Buggy which was at least some variation. |
Porche
Bawwww I wish I had had this picture for reference. I only had one from waist up so I had to resort to cosplay photos for her shoes. So of course I got them wrong. |
Kalifa
|
Domino
Cosplay pics say she's wearing shoes like that. I couldn't find anything official to prove that though. |
Sadi-chan
IMO she has one of the most idiotic outfits in One Piece. I planned to draw Minokoala for her event, but in the end the sceptre was a lot easier. |
Sharlia
Note the earrings that can't be seen properly on the doll. The bubble was the only thing I could think for her event, and it became handy as well since the dress would've been too high if the bubble was attached to it. |
Miss Valentine
Note the lemon earrings that can't be seen properly on the doll. They layer stupidly with the coat... I wanted her event umbrella to be open, but unfortunately I can't draw umbrellas. |
Miss Golden Week
She had way more stuff than I could ever have imagined. Note the bracelets on her both wrists and the two necklaces. |
Miss Doublefinger
Originally I wanted to do something with her devil fruit for the event, but the pipe was easier to draw. |
Monet
Okay, I didn't add the glasses. She doesn't wear them in the reference so I forgot about them. I like her event even if the knees work a bit weirdly. |
Ain
She's from the upcoming One Piece Film Z, and as of now very little information of her has been revealed. Because of that, her event is just a question mark since I really couldn't think of anything. I considered leaving the overcoat for the event, but it was such an unique item that I thought it'd be nice that it could be used as a normal item. |
Ann
She's from the second Romance Dawn story, from WANTED. Whyyy must it be so that coloured artwork of her clearly exists, but only a B&W version can be found on the internet!?! I'd be very grateful if anyone is able to refer me to the coloured version of the pic on the left. But until then I'll have to use the colours I guessed. |
Silk
She's from the first Romance Dawn story, that as far as I know was Oda's first One Piece oneshot. The sword in her event is blatantly traced from the one in the picture on the left. |
