Ion Fortuna Dress up
January 21, 2013 Ion Fortuna from Trinity Blood I was feeling slightly bad about how it had been over a year since I last made a TB game, so I finally got myself into making another one. And Ion was next, because I really didn't feel like tackling Caterina and her crazy hair curls, and I like Abel too much to try him with my current male-drawing skills. But Ion looks like a girl anyway so no problem there. Nothing particulart to say about the dress up itself, but it is notable to me for finally having practically everything in the coding automatised (or at least I don't know what else I could automatise any more). So no more playing around with the codes! No more copypasting the same thing a hundred times! No longer 2000 lines of copypaste telling the coordinates or page for each item! Yay! References for his clothes here. |

Fantasy Street Fashion Dress up
January 25, 2013 wingkei1993's designs Wingkei1993's prize for winning the "design a magical girl outfit for my character Beta" contest. For various reasons the prize was pretty late, but here it is now anyway. I'm really glad that my game making skills (or coding skills to be more precise) have evolved to this level; this would have been incredibly boring and annoying to code if I was still at my "Pokemon trainer dress up(v1)" level, but as of now everything in the coding was very easy. Watched Brave while drawing the hairstyles, that explains the poofy one. |

Disney Girls Dress up
February 17, 2013 Human female characters from Disney movies When I made this I was pretty happy with myself, but nowadays looking at it is rather painful due to the outdated art. Every now and then I entertain the idea of adding missing/new characters to have the Ultimate Disney Females thing, but that always crashes when I see what I'd have to work with. Maybe I'll make a brand new one some day instead. Regardless I still like this for its time due to having a rather comprehensive selection of characters and outfits, and especially the fact that I bothered to take the characters' face shapes into account. |

Mavis Dress up
February 28, 2013 Mavis, from Hotel Transylvania I didn't even like this movie all that much, but seeing Mavis' concept art made this dress up to happen. I'm a huge sucker for different "versions" of the same character, since they usually have a similar wardrobe design, which in turn makes for a good dress up idea since the clothes go well together. Plus hers were very simple so it wasn't a lot of work to draw Huge disappointment that she didn't get a new design in the sequel movie. That was a big factor as to why I didn't bother go see it (seriously). |

Alice in Wonderland dress up v2
June 28, 2013 This is one work that feels a bit more "professional" and "complete" than most of the stuff I've done in that it has a proper UI and two sort of decent backgrounds. But for some reason it doesn't make me feel much anything. Maybe it's because I'm not that big a fan of the Alice in Wonderland story? I like it for the iconic imaginery (girl in blue&white, white rabbits, roses, playing cards, tea party...), but I have little interest in the actual story. I still haven't even seen the animated Disney version. The pulsating buttons remain my favourite thing about this. |

Daisuke Motomiya dress up
September 5, 2013 Daisuke Motomiya, from Digimon 02 Oh, Daisuke! I recommend you to read the little story about my history with the character in the description of the dress up. I've had way too much fun hating on him. Dress up wise he's a good subject too, since the goggle boys have such a common clothing theme (which does hint at lazy and repetitive designs, but for dress up purposes it's a good thing). I like the Chicomon animation from the opening screen and buttons even if it's not that smooth as an animation. I'd like to animate more, but I'm seriously bad at that... I also enjoy the buttons a lot, and I get feedback that the users have had fun trying to stop the buttons at the same frame too. Initially the animation just stopping when you move the cursor away is just the result of me not bothering to code the animation to loop back to the starting point and stop there, but I have to admit that the lazier option is a lot more fun. |

Advent Calendar 2013
December 1 - December 25, 2013 Various characters from various series The second Advent Calendar based on the visitors' lottery entry suggestions. Not going to force myself to write about every single one of these either, since often I don't have a personal connection to the subject matter and the description would be just "uh, nothing special to say about this one". The advent calendar games:

Disney villainesses dress up
December 11, 2013 This one has a ton of comments for its size and quality. I guess Disney's simply always popular? And it has content from many different movies so a lot of people should find something familiar in it. The characters look so strange presented as a generic anime girl... I wish I had put the movies the characters are from in the character select screen. It would obviously improve the quality of the dress up since lacking them is an obvious flaw, and also spare me from the repetitive comments on "where's XYZ from?" Is it so hard to google the character's name?
Harley Quinn dress up
December 12, 2013 Harley Quinn, from DC comics This is another character that has a really good theme and plenty of different outfits & incarnations to mix&match. The thing just is, American superheroes is about as far from my area of interests than what can possibly be, so in the end this just doesn't do much for me. I really wish I had put a little more effort to the UI on this one. Or any of my works really, but I feel this one in particular would have been pretty easy to improve a lot with the option to have a darker background. At least the buttons kinda fit the theme, but with everything else being so basic it's not much.
Scarlet Sisters dress up
December 14, 2013 Remilia & Flandre Scarlet, from Touhou Touhou is yet another of those series that has amazing dress uppability, with tons of charactes with sort of similar designs and many different looks from different games, but so far I haven't managed to get really into it. I've tried some of the games which were ok, but too hard for me, and a franchise that's so heavily centered around fandom created content doesn't feel like it's my thing. But I really wouldn't mind it if one day I somehow became super invested in the series because that'd give a very good dress up subject. Whoops, this doesn't seem to have a button to remove the wings! At least you can get rid of them with reset.
Princess Tutu dress up
December 18, 2013 Female characters from Princess Tutu Princess Tutu is one of my favourite series ever and had been on my dress up to-do list ever since I saw it, so I was very happy to see entered in the lottery. Unfortunately it's not that dress-uppable as a subject though; Tutu and Kraehe have iconic and recognisable dresses, and that's about it. The additional outfits I got from DVD covers and such really don't fit with the general theme and just randomly sit there, and even with them there's very few options to choose from. I now really want to do another Flash work with Princess Tutu, but I'd have to think of something completely different from a dress up. At least the art was a pleasant surprise, checking the dress up years later, since I had been under the impression that this had one really bad art. But the most important thing, Ahiru's face and hair, look decent at least. It's pretty clear to me that I was just blatantly copying official art, but at least it looks nice. But it still doesn't save the dress up looking super cheap, with the generic buttons and all.
Cardcaptor Sakura dress up
December 19, 2013 Sakura Kinomoto, from Cardcaptor Sakura This is the really ugly art I was thinking about with the Tutu game. Ugh, this would be so much better if the face wasn't like that... While CCS is pretty much the Definitive Magical Girl Outfit series, I don't actually think that it's very dress-uppable. Sure she has a ginormous wardrobe, but for the most part the clothes don't go too well with anything but the specific outfit they're from, so a lot of the mix&match aspect is lost. I suppose it could make for a "outfit collection" type of dress up like the Nami or Trinity Blood ones I've made, but even those have similar colours and themes. Like you don't need to know Seth's canon outfits since it's reasonably easy to make a brand new one from the clothes since they're all green, and a lot of Nami's wardrobe is just relatively normal casual clothes that go with a lot of stuff. A collection type dress up is onlikely to happen though since I really don't like CCS. I can see a ton of aspects about it that are great, but on the whole the main character's excessive purity and goodness just annoys me too much. |
